"We stayed in 7 Bayview Terrace and the house is awesome. It has everything you need and the service is fantastic. Location is pretty good and the view from the balcony is outstanding. By far, it's the best house I've ever rented in my life. Without any doubt, when I come back to Cape Town, I would rent the house again."
"The Loader Street 32 is a nice place for a stay in Cape Town. The village is great and the style of the house is very good. The service is helpful. The view over the city and the Table Mountain is awesome. The atmosphere in the whole area is very sympathetic. We loved our short stay in De Waterkant Cottages.
"
"A couple of days in Cape Town as the end of our family holidays - touring with a motor home from Port Elizabeth to here.
it has become a real high light! The house and the staff a true 'ontop'. We would love to come back any time.
Thanks and good bye.

"We lived in 23 Loader Street, an incredible apartment: there on 140m ˛ everything you need and more: the ground floor an open living-dining area with adjoining fully equipped kitchen (including washing machine & dryer) and a guest WC and utility room including safe . The first floor of the great bathroom with tub and overhead shower and the bedroom with terrace. From this it then goes to the absolute highlight, the roof terrace with Jacuzzi and direct views of Table Mountain. From the apartment there are approximately 2 miles to the waterfront and it was very safe, there were always seen security guards in the district. The only thing that gets us were a little overwhelmed all the light switches as well as the many remotes;-) The key is in the office around the corner and the apartment included a home-delivery service. You can park on the street.
"
"Thank you so much! We loved our home in Cape Town and in Waterkant. We will be returning.
"
"An amazing place in an even more amazing city. Must come back. (23 Loader Street)
"
"Loved the house- well designed and styled and great convenience for a self catering unit. Perfect location and great neighbourhood.
We will be Back!

Ten comfortable, positive vibes days. Grandiose, beautiful South Africa. Thank you (76 Waterkant Street)

"Superb accommodation with all comfort. The situation in Waterkant is very pleasant and safe. Shop next door. It was wonderful! Thanks to the team

"4 Bayview Terrace - Fantastic
We spent 6 nights at the 3 bedroomed 4 Bayview Terrace although we only used the 2 upstairs bedrooms as we are 2 couples. Everything about this house is great - it's beautifully furnished, has a great location, well-equipped kitchen and the view is unbeatable! You can sit on the patio and look over the pool and the V&A Waterfront or relax on the roof terrace with 360 degree views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill and Cape Town City - absolutely amazing! The guys at the office were also lovely to deal with and made our stay a pleasure. If we go back to Cape Town we'll definitely be staying at one of De Waterkant Cottages :) "
"Wonderful, awesome, spectacular. I cant say enough about how beautiful 23 Loader is. Loved it!
"
"The house has four bedrooms (all with private bath / toilet) and a large lounge with kitchen. Two rooms have one double bed and the other rooms are double rooms. The equipment of the house was above average (very positively to the kitchen). The rooms were cleaned daily. Ideal for a large family or holiday with friends. The location was also very good: within walking distance, there were several restaurants and a supermarket for self catering. (90 Waterkant Street)
"
"A perfect home for our visit Cape Town.
"
"Nice cottage, great location…..enjoyed BBQ in the patio…..need to come back one day.
"
"We seem to have followed the previous review contributor in for a 3 night stay at 4 Bayview - 3 couples at the end of September 2011, with 5 friends/family from UK. It was the last 3 days of a 15 day tour of the Cape, and what a superb place to stay. We should have made it longer.
The admin and reception by Lynn could not have been better or more helpfully handled. Watch for the very steep location of De Waterkant's main office on Napier Street. As Lynn will remember, it can be a real clutch-burner trying to reverse out of street parking at the office with a big fully loaded vehicle!
The "cottage" itself was excellent, and the unexpected daily maid service was good and very trustworthy. As we were not expecting it we all left a number of things exposed in the rooms, and everything was in place when we returned. Even a 'lost" pair of sunglasses had been found and placed by the bed.
A single - tiny - item for attention was that one of the hand basin tap fittings in the master bathroom was very loose. Otherwise perfect.
The cottage benefited from a private secure parking in the courtyard which in our case was difficult to use due to the narrow street and people-carrier we had, but is a major asset in an area where street parking is at a premium.
The 360-deg views of Table Mountain, bay, waterfront, and city were excellent and - along with the standard and comfort of furnishings - made us wish we had more free time simply to spend at the cottage.
An excellent place for me to showcase South African accommodation to overseas visitors. My partner and I will continue to visit Cape Town from time to time, and have already decided that De Waterkant cottages will be our accommodation of choice. We both hold high standards and are not easily pleased or impressed. Well done!
"
"Through De Waterkant Cottages we have a private house in a fantastic fun and safe area of Cape Town for a price that is even difficult to find a good hotel. The houses are spacious, clean and modern and located in a neighborhood with many nice eateries, especially for Dutch standards, very cheap. With two people eating for EUR 45. In low season breakfast for EUR 2, etc. "
"Spacious apartment, clean and well equipped. . Lovely beds!. In a cozy and friendly neighborhood, within walking distance of the V & A Waterfront. "
"A Great time was had by us all.
Cape Town excelled our expectations and De Waterkant Cottages is an excellent venue.
Recommend table Mountain, V & A Waterfront, Boulders Beach and the penguins and the local spa is excellent. Off to the Winelands tomorrow and then cage diving with great whites. If all goes well we may be back.
"
"Loved it as soon as I walked in :-) - 80 Waterkant
"
"Enjoyable stay. Our stay too short.
(90 Waterkant)"
"Thanks for the wonderful stay. What a great house (80 Waterkant Street). What a nice neighbourhood. "
"Beautiful place - love the style and great outdoor location near CT central.
"
"We loved 21st Jarvis Street!!
When you are in Cape Town its wonderful to have your "own" house. It gives you such a freedom, its a home away from home.
The service at Waterkant cottages is great, such helpful people. The cleaning lady´s are great to. And the house it self is beautiful. You have got your own sitting room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms with both its own bathroom. You have got a fire place and a washing machine, which is very handy if you are staying longer... Again great place and if I ever go back to Cape Town, this is the place where I wanna stay again! "
"We could not have asked for a better house to reside in while in Cape Town for a month. Not only was it and comfortable but stress free and convenient to most everywhere we needed to go. We'll definitely recommend 21 Jarvis for future references!!
"
"A great location, lovely people, excellent service. De Waterkant Cottages made my stay in Cape Town very pleasant.
"
"I just loved the way the owner utilised the simple spaces and made the cottage appear so spacious. I will definitely take the same cottage whenever I need another weekend break. I have recommended this site as well as the cottage to all of my friends and family living in and around Cape Town as well as those living up country and abroad. My kids loved the experience. Thank you for a wonderful time.
"
"We did enjoy our 3 nights stay from the first minute we arrived. Very nice and professional staff, good location and spacious appartments.
"
"My family and I were thrilled with the 5 days we stayed at a De Waterkant Cottage (we were at 76 Waterkant). The location is fabulous -- it's in the De Waterkant neighborhood which feels like San Francisco -- hills, cobblestone streets, proximity of a fabulous waterfront, cafes, restaurants, night spots, elegant stores. The rooms in the "cottage" (better description: upscale modern townhouse on 3 levels with 2 terraces) were huge. The 4 of us always had plenty of space to be alone when we wanted to, as well as excellent spaces for togetherness. The kitchen was superbly equipped, and the furnishings and artwork throughout were both comfortable, stylist and whimsical. There was wi-fi (for an extra charge) and special deals for free nights during the South African winter. We loved being able to walk out and find a cafe, restaurant, ATM, supermarket, wine store, etc. within a 1-2 minute walk. It's 15 minutes walk to the V&A waterfront, and less than that to downtown. There's free parking on the street, What more can I say -- the beds were supremely comfortable. I give it a 100."
"Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us for a week! Wonderful!
"
"Wonderful Housekeeping, Nice apartment.
Thank you
"
"At the end of our motorbike trip and with aproximately 4500km's on the seat through SA reached this famous cottage and are enjoying our staying here.
"
"The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much for them and the location was excellent in a really safe area with lots of shops and places to eat and not far from the waterfront or the city centre
Negatives: nothing it was amazing
"
"A wonderful stay at 75 Loader. Great views of the city and friendly staff. Nice to be home in my place of birth after 39 yrs. I'll be back.
"
"Being in a home not a room, and friendliness of local staff both cleaning and security."
"Thank you,it was a great stay!
Cape Town is a beautiful city with a lot of beautiful beaches.
"
"Thank you for an wonderful experience here in Cape Town. The cottages are centrally located to EVERYTHING! It was nice to come back after being out and about to a comfortable and peaceful place. We hope to be back soon!
"
"It was our second visit and again such a fabulous place to stay. Enjoyed every minute of it. Many thanks.
"
"Staying in the wonderful cottage for more than 2 weeks during Christmas and New Years. It has become like a second home for us. You have a great country, a great city, probably one of the most beautiful of the world and most of all lovely people. Thank you to everyone who made our vacation such a positive xperience.
We will also miss Sharkie!
"
"We had a great stay- a week was far too short to see everything. Particulary enjoyed the Cape Tour with Yusuf and the visit to the Robben Island Museum. On the way down to the Waterfront, Table 13* is really good, though it closes most days at 5pm (* the kids say that their smoothies are the best they've ever had.)
Thanks to all of the staff.
"
"I've just come back from a three night stay at 169 Waterkant St, one of De Waterkant Cottages' two apartments.
The two bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and beautifuly decorated. The master bedroom had a king size bed and attached open-plan bathroom, with bath, shower and separate toilet. Kitchen was fully equipped although not enough to tempt us away from the restaurants conveniently located around the corner. The off-street garage parking was also a benefit.
Having visited Cape Town once before and walked around De Waterkant we were keen to take advantage of the central location of the the cottages/ apartments - 10 minutes walk to V&A Waterfront and the city centre (not that you'd walk after dark). Last time we stayed in a B&B towards Table Mountain, which is a beautiful area but not so easy to get around by foot.
